On the road with Thich Nhat Hanh (working title) from Max Pugh on Vimeo.

2500 years ago the Buddha walked the length and breadth of India sharing the Dharma
and the way of compassion and freedom.

In 2011 the monks and nuns of Plum Village will take the road with the same goal in mind,
but this time using planes, trains and automobiles, social networking and mobile phones.

From the natural beauty of sunny Southern California to the swamps of Mississippi, the Midwest
and across the Rocky Mountains to 5
th Avenue in Manhattan, this will be a road movie like no other!

On the Road with Thich Nhat Hanh (working title)

a film for 2012 – the 30th anniversary of Plum Village

Hi, dear Thay and dear PV Sangha! How I miss you all, despite more than 3 years now having passed since I was with you for the 07/08 Winter Retreat. Well, I have just had the pleasure of attending 'An Evening with the Nuns' at the Buddhist Library in Sydney, when Sister Luong Nghiem and her two companions from Plum Village shared a lovely evening with about 50 or 60 of us. It was delightful to sing some of the songs I had learnt while at New Hamlet, and to wave our fingers in appreciation of the nuns' singing. I felt as though I'd come home again. - I follow your movements via the website, and was very happy to see Jackie's twinkling fingers greeting us in a big 'Hi!' - Deear Thay, you continue to be my inspiration and I pray nightly for your continuing good health and long life. Your photo adorns my little altar, together with those of my relatives, some flowers, candles and incense. May you continue to have the strength to visit so many different places! And may I also have an opportunity to come once more at least, to visit you all from Australia.
