written by genot , August 15, 2011
good evening, I am right back from Plum village and was looking the Internet to view the last Questions&Answers session of the summer opening (because I asked a question and would really neet to listen again to the answer since I did not hear it properly) and I do not find the record in the long list of Dharma talks available.. could you tell me whether it (and the last remaining talks of the retreat) will be posted and when? thanks so much and a LOTUS for you..

Being a christian/buddhist/other
written by Ian Jackson , July 26, 2011
Yes, I am curious about this too. Thay has said he considers jesus to be a spiritual anscestor, I believe that is the correct phrase, of his personally so I can imagine it would be fine.

I'm curious about what the Plum Village community thinks about Sokka Gakkai International? I have just started practicing with SGI here in lexington ky and it is so wonderful. I know that they have a different way than plum village, but what do you all think of that? And brothers or sisters care to comment?

It seems to me spreading the wonder of the lotus sutra, and therefore the heart of buddhism, can be done in whatever way works aka resonates most with the practitioner. I'm so happy to be alive right now, the sounds of the insects can be heard outside my window on this beautiful july evening. They sound like the waves of the land, rising and falling....so awesome!

Question on Being a Budhist and being a Christian at the same time
written by Bill Goetschius , July 26, 2011
Hi,

I am making a real effort to learn Budhism and have read a few books and am attending a BudHist temple. In the book Living Budha Living Christ, Tingh seemed to indicate you can be both. Am I off- base here? I realize that Bussism is from within and Christian religons are from God above. Even though the Gnostics taught simialr things as Budhist's from Jesus. Please advise.

Sincerly,

bill

Audio mp3 of Thay's talks
written by Trish Palmer , July 21, 2011
Hello there - Many thanks for giving us a link to iTunes podcasts. I have downloaded iTunes as suggested, as I was hoping to be able to get the mp3 audio for Thay's talks in the Summer Opening. However, I can only find videos there but no audio mp3 to download. Can you give me any help with this, as I would very much like to be able to listen to these talks now, as I have already listened to all previous retreat talks from PV also EIAB and the Spring Retreat. The audio available to download on tnh.audio.org is currently giving us the talks for the Spring Rt, as their work is done by volunteers, so we will not get the Summer Rt talks for some time yet and I have already heard the Spring Rt talks via Langmai website. As PV Summer Opening is into its second week, I was hoping to be able to get these to download as soon as possible. The mp3 used to be available to download from Blip.tv but this facility was removed when the Blip website was revamped a couple of months ago. Can you please tell me why it now seems impossible to get the audio mp3 to download, as they used to be available from PV, Langmai and tnh.org? We seem to have Blip, Vimeo, and now iTunes for video, but nothing for audio, can you help please? I do download the videos to watch when I have time, but for me it is much easier to find time to listen to the audio. Many thanks for all your time and effort in giving us so many wonderful offerings from Thay and the Sangha, its appreciated more than I can say. All best wishes, Trish
